About PDF to PNG
PDF to PNG rasterises each page of a PDF — drawing its text, vectors, and images onto a bitmap — and exports the result as a lossless PNG. Because PNG is lossless it keeps text and thin lines perfectly crisp with no JPEG-style compression artifacts, at the cost of larger files. Multi-page documents come back as a ZIP with one PNG per page, so a 3-page PDF gives you three images. It is the right choice when sharpness matters: diagrams, screenshots of pages, contracts, and anything you'll edit further.

Tips & gotchas
- PNG is lossless, so it stays sharp but the files are bigger than JPG — choose PDF to JPG instead when small photo files matter more than perfect edges.
- Resolution affects sharpness: raise it for text-heavy or printable pages so small type stays legible.
- Vector PDFs (digital exports) rasterise crisply at any resolution; scanned PDFs are already images and won't get sharper than the original scan.
- Higher resolution makes much larger PNGs — run them through an image compressor if you need to email or upload them.
